My New License
Online 4-Hour Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE) Course
This online course serves as the first step for new drivers in Florida to earn the privilege of obtaining a driver’s license. Since January 1990, the Florida Legislature, through F.S. 322.095, has required all first-time drivers to complete and pass the 4-hour Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE) course. The South Florida Safety Program offers two convenient online programs at www.mynewlicense.com: the mandatory TLSAE course and the optional Online Permit Exam for first-time drivers under 18 years of age, as required by the Department of Safety and Motor Vehicles (DMV).
